Gratitude
Studies show an attitude of gratitude can improve relationships, stress, sleep, and both mental and physical health.**
Homes Focused
on Jesus
Faith stirred and hope inspired.
How it works:
Step 1: Write down any of your miracle memories or simple positive stories that are worth remembering to you.
Step 2: Take a time in the day or during the week to read out loud those stories, ensuring to re-experience the positive emotions associated with that story in the present moment and express gratitude for it.
Step 3: Leave the book in a public area in your home for ease of access for both writing and reading.
Why It Works:
The steps in place provide access to the desired results this system offers. Our desire is that we re-experience these memories and express gratitude for them.
The experience of the memory includes hearing, visualizing, and a re-experience of the positive emotions surrounding that story. From here, we express our gratitude.
Studies show that the practice of gratitude will carry the power to create and strengthen new neural pathways, producing a better quality of life.**
The new and strengthened neural pathways will make it easier for the brain to experience happiness, love, faith and hope resulting in a reinforced positive connection in our experience with God and with our families.

Meet the Creators
Everytime I went to look for inspiration in my own journals, I always found the darker emotional spaces I had been, which I wasn’t looking to experience or relive – I was looking to encounter the joyful, uplifting, and inspirational moments in my life. As someone who has battled with depression, it was hard for me to not only find these in my journals, but it was hard for me to recall them during times of sharing thanksgiving – even though I knew I had these moments to be thankful for, it just occurred as a big struggle to recall them. This is how Our Family Book of Remembrance was born.
-John D.
As remembering the Lord, and the Lord remembering His people, are themes in Scripture, we just thought that there might be others who struggle with the same thing. We wanted to make this available for others who need that extra nudge and helpful reminder to remain focused on Jesus and His goodness toward us.
